When you are planning an event, you will want to find the best venue possible so that you and your guests can have a fantastic time together.

A poor venue can reflect on the entire event; no matter how much you love the people who are at the event, if the food isn’t great, the building is too cold or too hot or the service leaves something to be desired, no one will be having a good time.

Before choosing a venue, you will have to do lots of research into it. Here is what you need to look for:

1.    Size and Capacity

How big exactly is the party you are planning? How many guests do you plan to invite? 10? 20? 50? The venue you hire needs to be able to accommodate for the number of guests you plan to have. A venue may look perfect in every other way, but if it’s too small, the room may become cramped, overheated, and overcrowded with people.

The first thing you need to search for is whether the venue will be able to capacitate your guests.

2.    Location

Naturally, the venue should be fairly local or at least easily accessible for your guests. If it’s too far away, your guests may be put off attending because they will have to travel too far.

Choose a venue that is close to local transport, like a bus stop or a train station, so that your guests travelling from afar will be able to get home with ease.

3.    Facilities

Depending on the type of party you are having, you will be searching for different things. Party venues Windsor based will have different facilities unique to them. Do you want your venue to have a bar? A pool table? Free Wi-Fi? A car park? These are all factors you will have to consider.

Note down what facilities you want the venue to have as a checklist and rank venues based on this checklist.

4.    Food Services

A party isn’t a party without food to go around. Some venues will offer to cater, either with a buffet or a set menu for a sit-down meal, while some will need you to provide your own caterer. Decide which option is best for you; a caterer provided by the venue will save you a lot less hassle!

5.    Atmosphere

The atmosphere and ambiance of the venue is just as important as how it looks and what services they offer. If your party has a lot of guests who are children, family restaurants will be a better choice than bars.

6.    Overall Cost

Hiring venues can be expensive. You may need to factor in the overall cost of hiring the venue into your decision, especially if you choose to hire your own caterer as well.

Hiring a venue for a great party doesn’t have to be extortionate. You will be able to find a brilliant venue within your budget if you research thoroughly enough.
