Now tell me, who doesn’t love to wear warm and cosy knitwear?

For those who love the cold weather: rejoice! The temperatures are lowering down a little bit each day, and my favourite clothing season is slowly upon us!!

While it may be still autumn here in Australia, the days (and most definitely the nights) are starting to get quite cooler, with winter now just being around the corner.

And when a brand-new season is upon us, the basic knitwear essentials are required to keep you looking on point whilst keeping yourself comfy, and deliciously warm in winter.

From chunky cable knits, turtleneck sweaters, fine layering pieces and throwing on knitted cardigans in oversized and figure flattering silhouettes.

Work it like a layer player and team your knits with a statement oversized coat and off-duty denim for every day or dress them up and pair a roll neck with a high waisted skirt and knee-high boots.

Whatever knitwear style you’re looking, you will definitely find a huge variety at PrettyLittleThing. To save you time, I have selected eight basic simple pieces, that are all casual, chic, stylish and super comfortable.

All of these selections can easily be dressed up for day or night. A pair of denim jeans (or leather leggings) and a turtleneck top, with a longline cardigan and over the knee boots is always a winter go to for me.
